The Queen Adelaide Reopens as “The Talli Queen” in west-London
The Queen Adelaide pub in Shepherd’s Bush, which closed last summer, is set to return with an exciting new identity as The Talli Queen, marking a fresh chapter for the much-loved local site.
AG&G has successfully secured the new operator behind the venture, bringing a dynamic and contemporary concept to the West London pub dining scene.
The Talli Queen is the latest project from chef Avi Shashidhara, whose impressive culinary background includes time at Claude Bosi’s Hibiscus and a long tenure at The River Cafe. More recently, he launched the kitchen at Pahli Hill Bandra Bhai in Fitzrovia. He also gained national recognition after winning the starter course on Great British Menu in 2023.
This reopening reflects a growing trend of pubs embracing high-quality Indian cuisine, following in the footsteps of successful concepts such as The Tamil Prince and The Tamil Crown in Islington. The Talli Queen will take inspiration from traditional drinking establishments of India, blending the character of a British pub with bold, regional Indian flavours.
The menu will centre around a charcoal grill and tandoor, with standout dishes expected to include Indian style porchetta and tandoori chicken served as part of a distinctive Sunday lunch offering.
The pub is currently undergoing a light refurbishment ahead of its reopening in a few months.
