The Beefy Boys plans Cambridge opening

The Beefy Boys, the better burger business backed by Manjit Dale, founding partner of TDR Capital, has lined up an opening in Cambridge. The Beefy Boys, which earlier this year opened its sixth site, in Nottingham, is set to open at 15 Bene’t Street, which forms part of a grade II-listed Barclays Bank. The property was previously home to Scottish brewer and retailer BrewDog, which closed its bar there in March. The Beefy Boys have also recently secured its most southerly site so far, in Exeter, Devon. The business secured the former BrewDog site in Exeter’s Queen Street for an opening at the end of this summer. The Beefy Boys was founded in 2011, in Hereford, by Murphy, Daniel Mayo-Evans, Christian Williams and Lee Symonds – beginning as a backyard barbecue pop-up before opening restaurants in Hereford, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham, Bath and Oxford.  The Beefy Boys also launched an international franchise programme to expand the business overseas earlier this year.

James Grimes, of AG&G, acted on the Exeter and Cambridge deal.
