New lease of life for Covent Garden pub

Formerly the Freemasons Arms, the Bull & Egret has opened on Long Acre, Covent Garden following a confidential marketing campaign which resulted in various proposals and a competitive bids situation.

It is rumoured that the English Football Association was founded at this very building in 1863.

Pub Group Aldrich Inns were the successful bidder and it will be a third site for the business following the purchases of the Newman Arms, Fitzrovia and the Goat in Fulham.

Michael Penfold of AG&G acted on behalf of the vendor with Connie Start of DCL acting for the purchaser.
