Barworks set to reopen historic Farringdon pub

Acting on behalf of a private landlord, leading property advisory firm AG&G, has let the White Bear pub in London’s Farringdon, to bar and pub operator Barworks.

Barworks currently operates 12 pubs, plus Mare Street Market and five sites under The Diner name. The Diner sites will be converted to independent wet-led operations during the next year.

On the White Bear, Marc Francis-Baum of Barworks said: “It’s a beautiful bay-fronted pub on a fantastic street with some great food operators. After carrying out some renovations, we will be ‘the’ pub on that street.”

AG&G Director Michael Penfold said: “AG&G have advised the landlord on the purchase and letting of this attractive building in Farringdon with a longstanding history as a pub. Barworks represent the ideal operator to continue this legacy. We are all excited to see the pub reopen and thrive as a Barworks venue”.
