AG&G adds Fuel to TRG’s pub business

Leading property advisory firm, AG&G has sold the former Café Rouge site in Chiswick, to Food & Fuel, The Restaurant Group-owned pub business.

The site in the Strand On The Green becomes the first site The Restaurant Group has acquired for Food & Fuel, since it bought the 11-strong business last year in a c£15 million deal.

The company is transforming the site ahead of relaunching it in August as The Steam Packet.

The Cafe Rouge venue closed in 2014 having been at the location since 2005. Previously the site was occupied by Dome restaurant and the venue is reverting to its former guise in the 1870s as the Steam Packet pub. Food & Fuel also operates The Roebuck in Chiswick High Road.
