Shep Neame sails on
AG&G acted on the lease assignment of The Pepys, located on the north bank of the River Thames in Stew Lane, to Kent-based brewer and pub operator Shepherd Neame. The company recently reported that it grew like-for-like EBITDAR 2.1% across its tenanted and leased pub estate in the 26 weeks to 23 December, while like-for-like sales in its managed arm also grew 2.1%. Overall this year, the business is spending more than £10m on its existing estate – within both its managed and tenanted divisions.

Interesting fact
It is understood that a proposed (to be confirmed) extension of the Thames Path would pass directly beneath the property. This would result in a higher pedestrian flow to the front of the property. The Thames Path is a National Trail footpath running for approximately 180 miles along the banks of the River Thames.
