Oakman to move into Wokingham
AG&G recently brokered the deal to sell the freehold and surrender the lease of the former Café Rouge unit in Wokingham, Surrey, to award-winning pub group Oakman Inns.
The site, in the town’s Market Place, ceased trading under the Casual Dining Group-owned brand last month.
The property comprised a trading and fully fitted restaurant arranged over ground and first floors.The 23-strong Oakman Inns, which is led by Peter Borg-Neal, recently unveiled its £10m investment in the Royal Foresters in Ascot. The site, which had been empty for three years, boasts 24 guest rooms, and an 80-seat flexible function space adjacent to the restaurant.
The group also recently exchanged on the Loch Fyne in Farnham, which will be renamed The Lost Boy – referencing Farnham’s connection with Peter Pan.
