AG&G sells pub to London's first 100% vegan operator

The leasehold interest in the former Jackdaw & Star, Homerton High Street, E9 has been sold to a debutant pub operator by AG&G.

The venue has re-opened as the Spread Eagle, becoming the capital’s first 100% vegan pub. All beers on tap will be produced without finings and food will be provided by up-coming vegan operator Club Mexicana.

Acting on behalf of the seller, Oliver Todd of AG&G said: ‘This is an attractive neighbourhood pub in a popular East London location. We received a lot of interest for this one, but more widely the leasehold market is still experiencing a shortage of good quality pubs and demand for sites like this one, particularly where a late licence is in place, is very high.’

‘The operators are doing something exciting with a cuisine not generally known for being vegan-friendly, and the refreshed site will represent a whole new take on the typical east-end boozer. We’re excited to see what they do with the place!’
