Meaty sale of FishWorks restaurant

A bit of Argentina is coming to Richmond in the form of its most famous export after Diego Maradona – steak. The Buenos Aires restaurant chain has just snapped up the former FishWorks premises on The Square, where it’s planning to open its ninth steakhouse.

“Buenos Aires bar restaurants may specialise in steak but they are very different from the traditional British steakhouse of the past,” says Richard Negus of licensed leisure specialists AG&G, who acted for the vendor, seafood restaurant and fishmonger group FishWorks.

“Their mix of prime Argentine steak and Latin American favourites is totally modern and proving a hit in other metropolitan centres. So we’re sure it will go down very nicely in well-heeled Richmond.”

The new site will complement Buenos Aires outlets in Chiswick, the City, Fulham, Horsham, Maidstone, Purley, Reigate and Wimbledon.
