Carluccio’s joins Oxford’s trend-setters
Anybody who has studied or taught at Oxford knows Little Trendy Street. It’s a short, bohemian thoroughfare, chock-full of boutiques, gift shops, bars, restaurants and cafés.
Now staking a claim to what is officially called Little Clarendon Street is a branch of Carluccio’s, who have bought a lease on numbers 1-2 from Strada via licensed leisure specialists AG&G.
“This will be Carluccio’s second attempt in the city having closed their restaurant in Oxford Castle back in 2010, and this is believed to be a much better location for them,” says AG&G director Richard Negus. “The street is very close to a number of colleges and is home to some of the university’s offices, including admissions, so there is a lot of passing trade.
“Many people from across the city come to Little Clarendon Street specifically to shop or go to one of the many eateries. The road is an Oxford institution and Carluccio’s will fit in well.”
