Clipper set fair to become apartments

The area is drenched in history, less than 100 metres from the Thames in the former maritime centre of Rotherhithe – but where sailors once hung out, young professionals are moving in and so the Clipper is set fair to become the site for upmarket apartments.

It has been sold to a developer by licensed leisure specialists AG&G, fetching just under £1 million.

“There was a lot of interest, with 14 offers – it lies opposite the Hilton Rotherhithe and has good transport links, including the Thames Clipper river boat, the Clipper was always going to appeal to developers,” says Panayiotis Themistocli of AG&G.
